Mental Health Giveaway Hop!

March 20th to 27th
Hosted by I Am A Reader, Not A Writer & Reading in Twilight

Thank you for stopping by and checking out my giveaway! I'm so excited for the opportunity to participate in this blog hop and offer a lucky winner the book that inspired me and numerous other new authors that it was possible to follow our passions. A key foundation to any type of success is belief--belief in yourself and what you are striving for is possible. As Henry Ford famously said, "Whether you think you can, or you think you can't--you're right." Belief in the opportunity is the first step in making it a reality.

This book is my inspiration and needs no introduction...

3 Harry Potter has never played a sport while flying on a broomstick. He's never worn a Cloak of Invisibility, befriended a giant, or helped hatch a dragon. All Harry knows is a miserable life with the Dursleys, his horrible aunt and uncle, and their abominable son, Dudley. Harry's room is a tiny cupboard under the stairs, and he hasn't had a birthday party in ten years.

But all that is about to change when a mysterious letter arrives by owl messenger: a letter with an invitation to a wonderful place he never dreamed existed. There he finds not only friends, aerial sports, and magic around every corner, but a great destiny that's been waiting for him... if Harry can survive the encounter.

  1. I am a follower through Bloglovin'. Good luck with the give-away. I know that is a favorite book for so many and believe it or not I've never read it. Just never rose to the surface of my "to read" list. Hope whoever receives it savors it as much as you did.

  5. This is great idea! Love the Harry Potter series, probably the only fantasy books I actually enjoyed. And now my nine-year-old is head over heels with the series. Ain't it lovely?

The book that has inspired me the most? I guess The Fall of the House of Usher. I just felt mesmerized by the images it evoked and the wonderful language. =)

  11. I began reading when I was 3; I cannot think of a single book that has inspired me, but books as a whole serve as inspiration every day. Without reading, I don't know what I would have done with my life. It kept me sane throughout my mostly miserable childhood, horrible first marriage, and now, my health is so bad, it's virtually all I can do. I have read many books that have given me inspiration, but it is the fact that books exist, and authors exist to write books to keep people like me alive that serve as my inspiration.

  12. Hmmm....I will go with Infinite Jest by David Foster Wallace.

  13. I cannot think of a book that has inspired me as there is never just one. I am inspired simply by a word, a phrase or even when a book makes me laugh or smile....it makes a mark on my whole day. So in answer to your question....every book I have ever read or ever will read will inspire me in some way. :)
